The Fell Warden
It stands where the building narrows, and it charges for passage. It does not explain what it will take until it has taken it.
abomination · Challenge rating 9
Still alive. Nobody has ended it yet.
Behavior
It stands where the building narrows β ward doors, stairwell landings, the corridor past intake β and charges for passage. It does not explain what it will take until it has taken it. It has taken teeth, the memory of a face, the ability to sleep on the left side. It does not lie or specify; survivors compare inventories afterward, looking for the pattern.
Appearance
An armored figure, seven feet, absolutely still at the threshold. The visor is sealed and nothing shows through the gaps β no light, no breath, no interior. It tracks movement by turning its head, slowly, without urgency, the way a cashier watches a queue.
Physical description
Seven-foot armored figure, matte black plate, seamless, edges bleeding a thin smoke that never dissipates. Sealed visor with no eye-slits; the gaps at neck and joints open onto nothing at all. One gauntlet is always half-extended, palm up. Stands motionless at thresholds; only the head moves, slow and mechanical, tracking approach.
Weaknesses
